CinchSeal

We build seals.
In Cherry Hill, by hand.

CinchSeal Industries has been building self-adjusting rotary shaft seals from the same shop floor in Cherry Hill, New Jersey since 2000. No outsourcing, no offshore assembly, no marketing-team product specs. The engineers who designed the seal answer the phone when you call.

01The principle

One simple idea, refined for 25 years.

The original CinchSeal idea, written on a napkin in 2000, was that a rotary shaft seal should take up wear automatically. A maintenance technician shouldn't have to tighten a gland every shift. An operator shouldn't have to watch for the leak.

The result was the self-adjusting, air-purged contact seal we still build today. Every series in our catalog — from the carbon-steel 7500 to the AST60 cartridge — is a variation on that principle, tuned for specific service.

We have not added a single pricing tier. We have not added a generic catalog page. We have not introduced a seal we wouldn't put on our own equipment.

02Timeline

What we've shipped, year by year.

  1. 2000

    Founded in Cherry Hill

CinchSeal opens with the first 7500 Series — built for screw conveyors at a New Jersey grain handler that had given up on rope packing.

  2. 2005

    7800 CEMA stainless launches

Sanitary food-and-pharma variant introduced after dairy customers asked for a CEMA-pattern seal that would hold through daily caustic CIP.

  3. 2011

    9700 Series for chemical service

Heavy-duty 316L bar-stock seal launches; first installs on chlorinated solvent agitators at a US specialty-chemical producer.

  4. 2017

    AST60 cartridge seal

Drop-in cartridge for ANSI B73.1 process pumps released — answers a long-standing OEM-pump-fleet sealing problem with a single SKU.

  5. 2022

    Lithium-ion gigafactory work

9700-WC and AST60-FFKM emerge as the de-facto seal of choice for cathode-slurry mixers and lithium-hydroxide pumps in the new US gigafactory cohort.

  6. 2025

    12,000+ documented installs

CinchSeal seals installed in 1,200+ plants across all 50 US states and 14 countries.

03Quality & certifications

The paperwork is part of the seal.
